Thoughts of the 'C' Word !

It's mid September and I'm wondering where the time has gone this year?

It really is flying by and my thoughts I'm sad to say, are turning towards Christmas . . . the dreaded 'C' word !  It's not that I don't like and enjoy Christmas; I do, very much so.

It 's just that I always worry about how I'm going to pay for it and I feel the pressure of trying to please everyone.

My in-laws have it about right this year I think, they are spending it in rural Germany, well away from the over commercialised rugby scrum that we regard as Christmas these days. It's funny, the older I get the more traditional I get and I long for the snowy winter days of Christmas family rituals that I remember as a child.

Today I have Tilda with Christmas Fir for you and you've guessed it the image was coloured a while ago so I haven't a hope at giving you the colours.  She has been glittered with Stickles Star Dust

The designer is from Kaisercraft from their Dear Santa Collection.

The edges of the paper die cuts have been edged with an embossing pen and dipped in gold mica powder.

The burgundy organza ribbon has been embellished with a bead cap and two gold tone 'jingle bells' have been suspended from a find gold tone chain.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the spiralled stems have been finished with faux pearl beads.   The edges of the rose petals have also been edged using an embossing pen and dipped in gold mica powder.

The foliage has been punched out of green cardstock using a Nellie Snellen branch punch that I bought from eBay.

The Christmas Seal was from Catslife Press in the US and it has been stamped using embossing ink and a gold embossing powder.

The card has been finished with faux pearl flat beads at each of the corners.

Well that's all I have for now,
Thanks for reading,
