Brother and Sister Easel Card

Tardy again today but hopefully it's worth waiting for, lol.  I've had to catch up on the dreary housework today after several days of spoiling myself at my crafting desk !!  I'm loving easel cards at the moment and I can really lose track of time when I'm making them.

I'm entering this card into quite a few challenges as I'm heading back to work next week and know I'm not going to have as much time to enter them.

Just Magnolia 2x2 Challenge, which involves two of everything, in this case, two people, two papers, two ribbons, two bows, two sentiments . . . you get the idea, lol !

Inky Impressions - Anything Goes which is pretty self explanatory.

Colour Create Challenge # 55 - Pink, Green and Cream - I think I can just scrape in with this !!

and finally:

"Stamp Something" Stamp Challenges - "Something Punchy"; definitely qualify for this one!!

I've really enjoyed myself this week and can't wait 'til the end of November when I'm off again.  Talk about wishing your life away, lol.

The image is one of the lovely new Autumn 2010 stamps from Magnolia . . . Brother and Sister.

I've coloured them with Copics; I'll start with Edwin first as I have not got many in my collection and he barely gets a look in, lol.

Skin: E000; E00; E02 and R11
Hair: E21; E43 and E71
Jumper: E50; E51 and E53
Dungarees: B93; B95; B97 and white gel pen
Shoes: E43; E71; E77 and C7

Now Tilda:

Skin: E000; E00; E02 and R20 (she has a more flushed look as appropriate for one being cuddled !!)
 Hair: YR20; YR23 and YR31
Dress: RV10; RV21; RV34; G000; G00 and BG23
Socks: C1
Shoes: G000; G00; BG23; C5 and C7

The designer paper is from two Papermania stacks "Rose Garden" and "Summer Bloom".  The punched edges have been achieved using a Martha Stewart punch around the page set called "Embroidery".

The die cut circle was made using a Spellbinder's Beaded Circle die and I've finally worked out how to make the 'bead' shapes pop out.  I've finished it off by using faux pearls.

The ticket sentiment "make a Wish" is from Whimsy Stamps and the inside sentiment is stamped using Fiskars "Make a Wish" quote stamp set.

The card is finished using a smattering of flatbacked faux pearls, 15mm warm ivory (cream, lol !) organza ribbon and of course flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts (where else ??)

Must go and clear up the mess I've made in my crafting area now ( it looks like a bomb's hit it, lol)

Thanks for reading,
