Cute Card Thursday Challenge #132 & Totally Tilda Challenge #6

Morning, the weather here yesterday was great, bright and crisp but on looking out of my window this morning I'm not sure that it's made up it's mind yet what it's going to do today, lol.

I on the other hand know exactly what I'm going to do.  After I've blogged and entered this card into a couple of challenges, I'm going to make an entry for the Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge - Stitching; even though I'm new to and not very good at this.

I'm entering two challenges with this card today Cute Card Thursday Challenge #132 with the theme of Tic Toc (I didn't find this very easy and had to really root through my stash to find something to fit !) and Totally Tilda Challenge #6 "Glitter and Sparkle (this was easy as I'm a bit of a magpie, anything shiny with some bling catches my eye, lol).

The image is "Happy Tilda" from the "Through My Heart" 2010 collection.

She is coloured with Copic Ciao/Sketch markers:

Skin: E000; E00; E02 and R20

Hair: E31; E33 and E35

Top: RV10; R11 and R32
Trousers: E71 and E77
Socks: C1

Shadow line: E51

To fit the challenge I smothered her in Stickles Star Dust and she has four tiny pink pearls in her hair which look like hair bobbles, so cute.

The background paper is from my stash and I don't know for the life of me where I got it from.  I have a really bad habit of discarding packaging and keeping my papers in a concertina folder and I really must stop it 'cos it doesn't help the blogging !

The pink glitter card is from a pack bought at my local market, there's a group of four stalls called Miss Fancypants which is a little treasure mine for the crafter but has caused me no end of embarrassment at my bank where on going over my finance statements, I feel the need to explain that I'm not spending vast sums of money on exotic underwear, lol !

Anyway the couple that run the stalls are really lovely so if you ever find yourself at Bury Market look them up and tell them that Julie sent you, lol !

Back to the card . . . the glitter paper on the left is from Papermania.  I bought it ages ago, one of those items that look lovely in the shop and you get it home and you have no idea what to do with it !!!  Its a fibrous sort of material with sparkle running through it; I know that my dies wouldn't cut through it anyway.

The edges of all the die cut shapes have been edged with glittered peel offs and I've mitred the corners with a ruler and craft knife.

The lace medallion is from Mrs Grossman's Stickers

The clock tag and "Great Times" sentiment are both from my stash and are from HOTP.  I've found things recently that I have had for years and forgotten that I had.

I'm trying to organise things a bit better to save myself some time and expense.  I keep forgetting what I have and what I don't have and find myself going out buying things that I have plenty of.  Oh dear that sounds like I'm losing my marbles a bit but it's not that I'm just not keeping like with like in my crafting area.

Well I think I have rambled long enough, time to enter the challenges and get on with making the next card.

Thanks for reading,
