I've taken a brief break from my commissioned work to enter a few challenges. I really am missing the time to make cards for challenges, I do enjoy them soooo much, lol. Ooohhh and I was lucky enough to win the Just Magnolia Challenge last week, two more Tilda stamps coming my way with the prize voucher (what else, lol !!!). A BIG thank you to all at the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog and Jacobi.nl for sponsoring the very generous prize.
Yesterday I visited the perfect place to buy all of my matting cardstock, The Papermill in the Lowry Outlet Centre. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven, needless to say I stocked myself right up!
This is Tilda with Peony, such a beautiful image that you can't fail but to make a beautiful card.
The background paper is from DCWV Nana's Kitchen. I've embossed around the edges with Personal Impressions Embossing Powder in Mother's Day Pink.
I've matted this onto Bazzill Cardstock in Baby Pink.
The doily is from a seller on eBay, can't find paper doilys anywhere else.
The 10mm satin ribbon is from Dunelm Mill at the bargain price of £2.99 for 6 metres.
She is coloured with Copic markers:
Skin: E000; E00; E02 and R20
Hair: YR20; YR23 and E31
Dress: RV000; RV10 and RV34
Shoes: RV000; RV10; RV34; C1 and C5
Peony: RV10; RV34; G21 and YG41
She is glittered with Stickles Star Dust and I've stuck little nail gems on her shoes as little buttons (how sweet, lol !)
I've edged the die cut shape with RV10 copic marker and then gone over that with a coating of Stickles Stardust (using a small paint brush for accuracy).
The gems in the corners of the die cut shape are from Papermania Mosaics in "Ruby".
The ticket sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, I love these sentiment stamps.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, 15mm two tone green rose and pink two tone cherry blossoms
My card is entering 3 challenges today:
The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge SSS79
Just Magnolia Challenge #78 - Think Pink (in recognition that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month)
and last but never least
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - "Give Thanks"
Well it's back to the commission work for me now, maybe I can squeeze in another challenge card before it's back to work tomorrow, I'll see how things go, lol.
Thanks for reading,
