Wonderful Surprise !

What a wonderful surprise I got last night after I'd finished my post. I was astonished to find that I was chosen as the Creative Inspiration Challenge winner for last week, the theme was Birthday and to say that I'm thrilled is an understatement.

I want to say a BIG thank you to the DT members who decided that my entry was their favourite. My prize voucher for Simon Says Stamp is already spent, lol.

Now to today's easel card, my entry to a few more challenges, (well and truly got the bug now, lol !)

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - a recipe challenge; 3 Types of Embellishments;2 Patterned papers (and a plain colour for layering if you like);1 Image

A Spoonful of Sugar - Challenge #125 Winter Wonderland

and

Charisma Cardz Challenge # 41 - More than one fold.

The image is an oldie but still a goody, Tilda with wood basket. She's coloured with Copic markers as follows:

Skin: E000; E00; E02 and R20
Hair: E35 and E53
Dress: B32; B93; and B95
Wings: G000 and G00
Shawl: B60 and B63
Basket: Promarker Metallic Gold pen
Boots: C1; C3 and C5

The designer paper is by Dovecraft "Let It Snow". I would recommend this paper stack; the designs are a mixture of beautiful glittered/non-glittered designs and the paper really has got some weight to it. It's more like light weight card. There are some designs in the pad that I can't bear to take my scissors to!

The snowflakes have been die cut from blue glitter card and silver holographic mirror card, flattened silver bead caps and Dovecraft 5mm pearl brads finishes them perfectly.

I used the Marianne D Creatable snowflakes dies and also a Creatable swirl die. I stuck the swirls on with Anita's Tacky Glue.

The ribbon is also from Dovecraft 12mm iridescent creative ribbon. The card is finished with 5mm flat backed faux pearls.

The inside of the card is more of the same, but I used a Martha Stewart punch "Topiary" to shape a strip of a contrasting paper.

The sentiments are from a Christmas set from DoCrafts "Daisy and Dandelion".

The inside strip is decorated with more contrasting paper and another snowflake and swirl.

Waffled on long enough, lol,
Thanks for reading,
