Bee Happy

It's been a while since I posted anything or entered any challenges and I'm definitely missing it.

This is a card I made for a 21st Birthday a while back.

I know the lady it was going to has received it so I'm now safe to blog about it, but I've blanked out her name.

The image is Honeybee Tilda and she's sat on a piece of cake (as you do, lol); I coloured her and the cake with Copics but was in that much of a rush to get it finished that I didn't make a note of the colours, oops . . . must try harder in future.

The paper is from a Tilda paper pad, ordered from Panduro which took an age to arrive but was well worth the wait.  It is soooo beautiful I sometimes don't want to cut into it.

The gold matting card is Canford Frosted Gold which I absolutely adore for it isn't at all brash.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pink pearl hearts are from Dunelm Mill.

The brown matting paper is from Kanban and it has a lovely gold running through it which the camera hasn't really picked up that well.

The card was finished with a strip of glittered vellum which has sat in my stash for a long time, I wasn't quite sure what to do with it.

I've also stuck on a vinyl butterfly which I bought from eBay several years ago and finished it off with 2mm pearls.

I haven't really had the time recently to seek out any challenges for this card but I may have a little look around now and see if I can find something it will fit.

PS: Well after wading through a lot of challenges which my card didn't fit I found two that it did

CRAFT challenge #77 - Using vellum

Stamp with Fun Challenge#85- Square
Haven't been very well of late and this has put me a little behind with my commissioned work but some late nights should see me back on track.  Who needs sleep anyway, lol.

Thanks for reading,
