Belated New Year Wishes

Wow, life can be eventful can't it?  It's been a long while since I last posted anything but after I recovered from being ill, my daughter caught flu and eventually recovered and then my husband got pneumonia on both lungs for the second winter in succession right before Christmas.  He is the other half of my team and I found it very difficult to manage without him in the run up to the holidays.

Anyway can I wish everyone a belated Happy New Year, I hope that 2011 is very kind to you.

Now the festivities are over and I'm back at work I find myself permanently exhausted : )  Does anyone else feel the same?  I managed to get all of my commission cards out though, eventually but I'm not sure how I managed it !!!   I was really up against the clock at times.

On a more positive note, I entered some of my cards into a DT competition for Christmas Cards All Year 'Round and was lucky enough to be chosen so I'm excitedly looking forward to taking part in the DT for 6 months.  Watch this space !!!

The card I'm showing today is a card that I made some time ago now.   It's a Hanglar design that I made for the arrival of a new baby girl.

I coloured the design with Copic markers, using the following colours:
Skin: E000; E00; E02 and R11
Hair: YR00; YR23 and YR31
Wings: G000 and G00
Clothing: RV000; R00; RV10; G000 and G00
Hat: G000 and G00

I used paper from my stash which is soooo old, I don't know who it is by or where I got it from : ) but it fitted the bill !!

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I've used a Mrs.Grossman's Paper Whisper to set them off.  I've also used some crystal stems from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The sentiment seal is from Catslife Press in the USA.  A smattering of pearls and some lime green organza ribbon and we have the finished article : )

I hope now that life has settled back down to be posting more regularly, at least 3 times per week is my new goal, we'll see how I do with that one.

I'm going to have a little look around later to see if this card fits any challenges, so "I'll be back" (as the quote goes : )

Ok, I've spotted this one, which is perfect Crafty Creations - New Beginnings

Thanks for reading,
