New Challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - Circles

It's Wednesday, it's midday, so it's time for a new challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge.
This week's theme is "Circles"
I very often feel like I'm running in them, lol, but we would like to see them on your paper-crafting projects, at least one to qualify for the prize draw.

This week we are generously sponsored by

with an amazing $20 voucher for the selected winner, wow!

and

with 5 digital stamps of the winner's choice on offer - the images are so great!

I was asked to work with a QKR stampede image digi 3101 Carpenter Beaver this week and I will be honest . . . male cards are not my favourite cards to make . . . I like pink and fluffiness and there's no room for that with a male theme card, yukk!

But I believe you should push outside of your comfort zone once in a while so well here's what I did:

The cardstock is all from Kanban [still so shocked that this company went to the wall!]
I coloured the image with a combo of Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.

My first attempt at colouring this character went in the bin . . . I made his fur far too dark and lost all the definition of the image.  So this is take two - I was much happier with how this one turned out.

I used a white gel pen to add stitching lines and highlights to his dungarees.
Faux stitching was added to the mat layers with a brown fineliner.
I created the faux screw-heads with matt silver Card Candi and a black permanent marker to draw the screwdriver slot.

The button, ribbon and twine were all from the Christmas Molly Bloom magazine collection.

The inside of the card was decorated to match the front.

Please join us this week . . . Circles, it couldn't really be easier . . . and take a peek at what my P.PC.C. Teamies came up with too.

Thanks for visiting

It doesn't look like you have any problems with male cards to me!! I love that you made screws out of what you had on hand...at first I thought they were brads that I have seen before!! so yay for you.
