Guess who's an Inkette?

Hi All

I'm so proud to have been chosen recently as an Inkette for Inky Impressions Challenge Blog but I had such a disastrous beginning . . . I messed up and put the wrong date for the challenge start in my diary.
Luckily Vicky saw the funny side and decided to forgive me.

Well, I completely missed the DT challenge post but made the inspiration blog with this . . .
"Red, White and Blue" creation

I loved making this card.  I loosely used a Mojo Monday sketch to help with the layout.
I find it is my 'go-to' whenever I need a spark of inspiration.

I coloured Independence Day Lili with Copic markers.  Isn't she wonderful, so cute!  She comes with two different mini stamps for her t-shirt, USA and LOVE making her so flexible for use on other occasions.

The background papers were digitals printed onto 240gsm paper.

The rosette was made by cutting two 3cms strips of A4 paper and joining together to make one longer strip.
I used my Hougie board to score at 5mm intervals along the whole length of the strip and simply concertina folded it until I had enough to circle around to form the rosette.
I placed a button in the middle to hide the hole and cut two fishtail pieces from American Crafts Primaries collection cardstock.

To finish I added a recoloured sentiment to match my colour scheme.

I'm glad to report that I've got all the right dates in my diary now so there shouldn't be any more clangers (finger's very firmly crossed)

Thanks for visiting
