I stamped out the background with Clearly Besotted Picture It Space. Masked the images and used Distress Oxides in Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot and Tumbled Glass.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: arial;">I flicked silver ink over the image using a fan brush. I then coloured the planets, stars and rocket with copic markers.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: arial;">I stamped out the monster images using Clearly Besotted Pop Up Monsters. I coloured them and fussy cut them.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Then stamped and heat embossed some sentiments. Then it was just a matter of assembling the card and embellishments of punched out holographic stars. Really fun card to make.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: arial;">#Clearly Besotted #stamps #copicmarkers #distressoxides #monsters #space<br /></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjSq6tAJLlBpeft57kyU6DV8iYbqqWop-Ii82IkwWelgdixFY1HRSUmLpdQkvE-SWijDZ4C5MRoWvtIB8v7JIpx3WwXWSFUq7FjDpgxrKKzTIaDc2I5vCFGe-4ndH-oxAyK-XY1E3GyXv5dUozE31uNHAto3UlUDNhX0orN5xGdbBdXafF_TippuULu7g=s1839" style="display: block; padding: 1em 0px; text-align: center;"><br /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjSq6tAJLlBpeft57kyU6DV8iYbqqWop-Ii82IkwWelgdixFY1HRSUmLpdQkvE-SWijDZ4C5MRoWvtIB8v7JIpx3WwXWSFUq7FjDpgxrKKzTIaDc2I5vCFGe-4ndH-oxAyK-XY1E3GyXv5dUozE31uNHAto3UlUDNhX0orN5xGdbBdXafF_TippuULu7g=s1839" style="display: block; padding: 1em 0px; text-align: center;"><img alt="" border="0" data-original-height="1839" data-original-width="1436" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjSq6tAJLlBpeft57kyU6DV8iYbqqWop-Ii82IkwWelgdixFY1HRSUmLpdQkvE-SWijDZ4C5MRoWvtIB8v7JIpx3WwXWSFUq7FjDpgxrKKzTIaDc2I5vCFGe-4ndH-oxAyK-XY1E3GyXv5dUozE31uNHAto3UlUDNhX0orN5xGdbBdXafF_TippuULu7g=s400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhFadHbaU23CnKGNqjUhylMx1SuCnHF72WiJtDVNB8_I3Mi8-OwB-tocec2EtWfVmV70bSqoQj8xtwI518gfJx1pSgMuPgqqBSlbjiRLMw_CP-MLJnNccDlvxWNZIUsRsznKO_uEhHIm51y-wY-nA0XDPjxh4SHXKjx8DBgvj-xm5i_4PGSJH7j7-VqsQ=s2008" style="display: block; padding: 1em 0px; text-align: center;"><img alt="" border="0" data-original-height="2008" data-original-width="1417" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhFadHbaU23CnKGNqjUhylMx1SuCnHF72WiJtDVNB8_I3Mi8-OwB-tocec2EtWfVmV70bSqoQj8xtwI518gfJx1pSgMuPgqqBSlbjiRLMw_CP-MLJnNccDlvxWNZIUsRsznKO_uEhHIm51y-wY-nA0XDPjxh4SHXKjx8DBgvj-xm5i_4PGSJH7j7-VqsQ=s400" /></a></div>Apassionforpaperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10338501579081031368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7118928292657081019.post-11324363183083538472021-08-17T13:02:00.000+01:002021-08-17T13:02:12.288+01:00Comparison is the Thief of Joy<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;"> </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPD9nABjT-uS-qAwwfUn-W1FV9IV0sv9Lui1Ubr59kTB1HOdsDBHy8ak0bpa8OKAf0AJlTcXydke_rlLeuZA46yX8ySniOofRnqJ6nsGe9TroxQOptY1d05GWQN2lRQfMusto2NNdUTka0/s2048/DSCF3946.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1575" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPD9nABjT-uS-qAwwfUn-W1FV9IV0sv9Lui1Ubr59kTB1HOdsDBHy8ak0bpa8OKAf0AJlTcXydke_rlLeuZA46yX8ySniOofRnqJ6nsGe9TroxQOptY1d05GWQN2lRQfMusto2NNdUTka0/w308-h400/DSCF3946.JPG" width="308" /></a></span></div><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;"><br /></span><p></p><p style="line-height: 21.6pt; margin: 1.5pt 0pc 1.1pc; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d; letter-spacing: -0.5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">There's a bit of a story behind my card
today. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p style="line-height: 21.6pt; margin: 1.1pc 0pc; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d; letter-spacing: -0.5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">I was recently watching a fellow crafter,
Ann Melvin on YouTube and the title of her video was "I am SO TIRED of
it!!” Intrigued by the title, I watched with interest. </span></span></p><p style="line-height: 21.6pt; margin: 1.1pc 0pc; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d; letter-spacing: -0.5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">To summarise, she was bemoaning the
cost of trying to copy<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>the cards
top celebrity crafters show us. The list of<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>products "needed" to
make such projects (she recounted) can reach £60-£70. She
discussed the resulting dissatisfaction which comes when we try to reproduce
these 'ideals'. The chasing of perfection is demoralising she
suggested. She was in a real tizz with her crafty life and I felt sorry for her. I've been there too. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p style="line-height: 21.6pt; margin: 1.1pc 0pc; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d; letter-spacing: -0.5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">Whilst I sympathised with a lot of what she had to
say; I did not agree with everything. <o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p style="line-height: 21.6pt; margin: 1.1pc 0pc; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d; letter-spacing: -0.5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">Ann didn't refer to any of the YouTube designers by name but I've a pretty good idea to whom she is referring. I think that we have to remember that these top designers are 'the<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>professionals'. It's their job
to promote and show us the new products of the companies they work for.
We have to remember that a lot of these products are thus given to them free of charge. Of
course, wouldn't we all love to receive lovely crafting products for
nothing? Regular 'Happy Mail' parcels are so exciting. I know from experience. I've served on numerous Design Teams in the past. But, there's also the flip side to consider. Think about
the enormous pressure there must be on them. There’s a constant
demand to keep coming up with interesting designs, techniques and designs for us. They're on a crafting treadmill! I know that I'm always grateful for their tips and inspiration. I am fully aware
that my efforts will not always match theirs. There is a wise old saying “comparison
is the thief of joy". <span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>
How though are we to improve and progress our crafting if we don't
strive for this perfection? The key is not to allow our best to be not
good enough. Crafting is my passion; it's like the air that I breathe. I'm not always happy with what I produce and I know what I make is not always perfect.
I'm my own harshest critic at times but I have learned to be
patient. I know that practice makes perfect. And, it's the doing that's the important bit not the result.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>
<p style="line-height: 21.6pt; margin: 1.1pc 0pc; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d; letter-spacing: -0.5pt;">I lost my paid employment just before the
pandemic struck. I haven't worked for the past two years and money is
tight. It forces me to be careful about what I buy and </span><span style="color: #0d0d0d; letter-spacing: -0.55pt;">I've been in a sort of creative wilderness for the
longest time. </span><span style="color: #0d0d0d; letter-spacing: -0.5pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

Yes, they keep on showing us lots of tempting stuff, it's sort of in their job descriptions. Some of us can afford to buy it and that's just great. However some of us can't and that's okay too because if you look in your stash, I'm guessing there are products there which can produce something at least similar looking. To be fair to them a lot of them are aware enough to suggest alternatives which would give similar outcomes. The designers aren't responsible for our dissatisfaction, we do that to ourselves and we need to stop.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">Happy crafting everyone and thanks for visiting.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">Please leave me a comment with your thoughts or feelings on this.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">Bye for now</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: medium;">Julie Ann xx</span></div></span><p></p>

<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">A deceptively simple card to make. </span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Start with a square of ice white pearlescent card. Stamp the Snowflake arch stamp using Silver Dollar embossing powder in opposite corners. Heat set and place Snowflake die over each impression in turn. Carefully raise die cut areas. </span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Die cut snowflakes again in another piece of cardstock. Cover in clear glue and sprinkle with sparklicious glitter. Set aside to dry.</span></span></h4>
<div>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Glue additional snowflakes in place over the corresponding snowflakes on the card front using 3D foam pads for dimension. Die cut sentiment die several times and glue together carefully to form a dimensional greeting. Glue into centre area of card front. </span></span><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Run a glue pen around the edges of the card front and sprinkle with iridescent glitter.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Take a 7" x 7" card blank and cut a piece of silver mirror card slightly smaller. Mat onto the card. Cut a piece of coordinating designer paper (dp) 0.5cm smaller all around to leave a larger border and stick to mirror card card on front.</span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I was lucky enough to go with a group of crafty friends to the Sincerely Yours craft event at Leigh a couple of weeks ago. I had a wonderful time catching up with friends and looking for new stash items. This beautifully different stamp was one of the first things I picked up to look at and I instantly fell in love with his dear little face.<br />
He's from Pink Ink Designs, a company that hitherto I had not been familiar with but I must say that I love what they do. Since getting this darling, I've also bought the giant bee and dragonfly sets ( yet to be worked with)<br />
I was in the right mood to stamp and bring him to life this morning so these are the results.<br />
I used Prismacolor pencils to colour him:<br />
PC1009 Dahlia Purple<br />
PC995 Mulberry<br />
PC1038 Neon Pink<br />
PC943 Burnt Ochre<br />
PC1087 Powder Blue<br />
PC1103 Caribbean Sea<br />
PC919 Non-Photo Blue<br />
PC916 Canary Yellow<br />
PC908 Dark Green<br />
PC1005 Limepeel<br />
PC911 Olive Green<br />
Sparkle Pens<br />
Spectrum Noir Sparkle - Clear<br />
Spectrum Noir Sparkle - Magnolia<br />
Spectrum Noir Sparkle- Firefly<br />
and finishing touches with:<br />
Tim Holtz<br />
Distress Oxide - Pumice Stone<br />
Distress Oxide - Crushed Olive<br />
Distress Oxide - Stormy Sky<br />
Sakura Pen-Touch - White<br />
Artline 900XF - Gold<br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The Tales from Willson Wood collection has turned out to be my favourite Docrafts collection of 2016. This parcel card shows off its beautiful papers and images (this one is my favourite) beautifully.</span><br />

<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: small; font-weight: normal;">Cut a sheet of card
to measure 18 x 28.5 cm. In a landscape
orientation score at 9, 18, and 27 cm.
Turn 90 degrees and score two parallel lines (each 5cm long and 2.5 cm
on either side of the scoreline) on the 18 cm scoreline. The first one at 12 cm and the second at
16cm. Join all scorelines to create a scored
rectangle which measures 4 x 5 cm. Take
a craft knife and steel ruler and cut along the two vertical scorelines. Do not cut along the horizontal scorelines.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: small;">Fold and crease
along all the scorelines with paper creaser.
Force the scored rectangle area into a recessed shape and the rest of
the card blank into an elongated triangular shape. </span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-size: x-large; text-align: center;">

planking paper to measure 8.5 x 17.5 cm.
Cut and measure around the recessed area and ink around all edges with
Chocolate dye ink pad. Stick into place

Score at 4 cm intervals in a portrait orientation (4 and 8 cms). Turn to a landscape orientation and score at
4, 8, 12, and 16 cms. Cut to match the

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">In the end, taking the plunge was not a difficult decision, I have loved stamping for over 20 years and Stampin' Up are nothing if not passionate about stamping.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My starter kit arrived surprisingly quickly and included this stamp set "Helping Me Grow" which is amazing.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Well the weather here is very much undecided . . . the sun comes out and then the next minute, it's grey skies again. I'm very much undecided too. Lots of work needs doing in the garden and I've lots of crafty projects buzzing around in my head. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Which one will win out? Probably the crafting if past experience is anything to go by :)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I've just finished working on the third of three magazine commissions so I'm pretty footloose at the moment. I was thrilled to bits to see my recent retro camera make reach the front cover of Creativity magazine. I had no idea that they would choose it.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">For a long time now I've been struggling with finding a solution to my lack of crafting space. I'm not lucky enough to have a room I can dedicate to it. I have crafted on a small table with half my supplies constantly falling to the floor . . . well no more, not with a Springer at my feet who is all too willing to chew anything that comes her way.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I've bitten the bullet as being creative is now my full time occupation and I'm a member of the Docrafts 2016 PDT. On Friday the answer to my prayers will be arriving in the form of a Kallax storage/desk combo; thanks to IKEA and a lot of saving up!!!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I've no time to assemble anything until next Monday as my daughter's hen party celebrations are going ahead on the weekend with spa treatments, a BBQ and luncheons, all being very civilised and welcome! Can't wait!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I'll post some pictures soon, it's all very exciting for me, it will be smallish but perfectly functional, I hope.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Watch this space . . . </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Julie Ann x</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">PS If anyone has any good advice, do's and don'ts, storage ideas etc, etc, please pass it on in the comments. I would really appreciate your time.</span>Apassionforpaperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10338501579081031368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7118928292657081019.post-48117017263456990442015-07-10T09:14:00.000+01:002015-07-10T09:14:00.654+01:00Pyramid Front Card - Bellissima!Hi Crafters<br />

<br />
I've been MIA from blogland for a little while now but I haven't been idle. Oh no, I now demonstrate on behalf of Docrafts and I'm loving every minute of it. <br />
<br />
This is one of the demonstration samples that I made recently, a Magic Box.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkaiol1ZK8mPZxmYIIbzLdU3TOuF1QsTcGxmOYXmQYFwLs6PUuRlJEkMnnKFmV1w_L3z7G2u47yF1hCZcEcPGYzV3GE4d7rumIxXZweoQUZTeMKyyyBSnp4ecjK_bAMVEbb2MxtDpDf3Hv/s1600/DSCF2067.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkaiol1ZK8mPZxmYIIbzLdU3TOuF1QsTcGxmOYXmQYFwLs6PUuRlJEkMnnKFmV1w_L3z7G2u47yF1hCZcEcPGYzV3GE4d7rumIxXZweoQUZTeMKyyyBSnp4ecjK_bAMVEbb2MxtDpDf3Hv/s320/DSCF2067.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Today I thought I would do a little 'how to make' post for you (I do assume that you are not a beginner . . .<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
1. Start with a piece of cardstock 30 cms x 30 cms or any measurement of cardstock which is divisible by 3 e.g. 15 cms, 18 cms etc<br />
<br />
2. Score right across the cardstock at 10 cms and 20 cms<br />
<br />
3. Turn the cardstock 90 degrees on your scoreboard and score again at 10 cms and 20 cms.<br />
<br />
Your card should now be divided into 9 equal squares (like a blank noughts and crosses game).<br />
<br />
4. Cut away the 4 outer corners of the square and lay aside for matting and layering. You should now have a big cardstock cross in front of you.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUIaBP8QXsn4wyWqgltWIjtC-hSdSZLnOH7cQ5OSIu37kHHF40DXnTWlYGfH99CgpmCWGIhmu1k_U9AAOc07Pukm8CMe-YiHha0YEunCl0ZUU_-15XMoqZ5mn_Ij0lfXbdKQP0apNW2KWz/s1600/DSCF2072.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="196" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUIaBP8QXsn4wyWqgltWIjtC-hSdSZLnOH7cQ5OSIu37kHHF40DXnTWlYGfH99CgpmCWGIhmu1k_U9AAOc07Pukm8CMe-YiHha0YEunCl0ZUU_-15XMoqZ5mn_Ij0lfXbdKQP0apNW2KWz/s320/DSCF2072.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
5. Mat and layer the outside in papers suitable to your theme. If you have started with the 30 cms x 30 cms cardstock your mat layer will measure 9.5 cms x 9.5 cms.<br />
<br />
6. Likewise mat and layer the inside of your box.<br />
<br />
6. The little internal box is made in exactly the same manner. Cut your starting cardstock at 15 cms x 15 cms. Remember this time you don't cut away the outer corners. <br />
<br />
7. Make a lid for the small box by cutting a 8cm x 8cm square of cardstock. Score at 1.5 cms all the way around and cut up/notch. Glue using a strong wet adhesive.<br />
<br />
8. Decorate the inside to your taste.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigGElVF4cPw9vIwltA7R6sXKzDNZmdGjwzqzyMePwqClXZFNdhkQO6vMgQvcEgBCSAgQkq31JN_31id5YrmWXBJXi3suN7D9ZkC1YIbtE_pdiqSiCg_Zc80YXvjMB9vQ8RgVHQJAmLRAmL/s1600/DSCF2065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="314" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigGElVF4cPw9vIwltA7R6sXKzDNZmdGjwzqzyMePwqClXZFNdhkQO6vMgQvcEgBCSAgQkq31JN_31id5YrmWXBJXi3suN7D9ZkC1YIbtE_pdiqSiCg_Zc80YXvjMB9vQ8RgVHQJAmLRAmL/s320/DSCF2065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
9. Make a lid for the bigger box by cutting a 15 cms x 15 cms piece of cardstock and score at 2.5 cms all around. Cut up and notch at the corners and stick using a strong wet adhesive.<br />
<br />
10. Decorate the outside of the box to your taste and theme. Have fun!<br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I hope your crafty weekend is going well :)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have just popped up to show you a LOTV wedding card and box I made.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZtUdWCMefseighXgu4l70zWC1-p6AQgebfdiSAKb-8VQxUtFCz30733WvmoKsl3oEHgdcFvrn_EvWfbQBjhbnT7nWr2JDvg2a5WVVmZOIIvBnDYvddaFzmT3KnZIVYZbDPu1h8jt99UPj/s1600/Wedding+Card+LOTV.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZtUdWCMefseighXgu4l70zWC1-p6AQgebfdiSAKb-8VQxUtFCz30733WvmoKsl3oEHgdcFvrn_EvWfbQBjhbnT7nWr2JDvg2a5WVVmZOIIvBnDYvddaFzmT3KnZIVYZbDPu1h8jt99UPj/s1600/Wedding+Card+LOTV.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The base card was cut using the largest of the GoKreate XXL Square Frilly Frame #2 dies. I cut two in snow white centura pearl, a pearlescent card from Crafters Companion. I then stuck these together to create a hinged card.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Several other die cuts were layered up to create an interesting layout. The timber effect card in the background is from Kanban and it has a beautifully subtle gold foiling effect on it which I didn't manage to capture with my camera.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The image is from LOTV and I over-stamped various postal marks around the edges and inked using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink. The postage mark stamps etc are from a Viva Decor stamps but I'm not sure that they are available any more. Little touches of Glamourdust completed the topper.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I embellished the card using Wild Orchid Crafts trellis roses in various sizes and shades. All the roses have had a dusting of Glamour Dust too. A Magnolia Doo Hickey die leaf and flourish finished off the floral arrangements.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The sentiments are from Kanban.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHd83y8fmnfuiWW5g-i71LplAh8fM37cAChL43fdMp3FLRaxgUwliQTDF3cLXWyvsjKwKVxvttPUszF7_Rn8y-Je0l5GBuqshAxKvdU8RwVkI345PHeRH6hAKnet_AC7qvH1djZt26y2AT/s1600/Wedding+Card+LOTVmultiimage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHd83y8fmnfuiWW5g-i71LplAh8fM37cAChL43fdMp3FLRaxgUwliQTDF3cLXWyvsjKwKVxvttPUszF7_Rn8y-Je0l5GBuqshAxKvdU8RwVkI345PHeRH6hAKnet_AC7qvH1djZt26y2AT/s1600/Wedding+Card+LOTVmultiimage.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used the Go Kreate die again to make a card insert from Centura Pearl paper and found a lovely verse on the Web to go inside. The scrolling cartouche opposite could be used to include the recipient couples monograms (note to self for next time :) )</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A co-ordinating box finished off this project, the large flourish is from the Cheery Lynn die company.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Please pop over to and like my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Julie-Ann-Designs/700703973329337">Facebook page</a> if you have a spare 5 minutes to see what else I've been making.</span><br />

<br />
The weather here is decidedly cooler and I for one am so glad. Don't get me wrong I love the warm, sunny days but it was getting just a bit too sticky for me.<br />
<br />
I'm back today to show you a card in a box project that I made for a little boy's 1st birthday. He loves animals so it was jungle all the way . . . especially apt since it was very jungle like in my crafting area i.e. humid and boiling hot when I made it.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7yqxyLifzCzbW1vWf6WGzCHPAc9it8Nkb8YEqSj5c7k9r2mHX9RRI4n0KTNtcP_awdfNGOrMT_hJYZ7JzMHP_mzvt8TOudHsTBdCKCuhCrezoojYNw2cLGztZdNRsLzmW7T_PenKphVNs/s1600/Card+in+a+Box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7yqxyLifzCzbW1vWf6WGzCHPAc9it8Nkb8YEqSj5c7k9r2mHX9RRI4n0KTNtcP_awdfNGOrMT_hJYZ7JzMHP_mzvt8TOudHsTBdCKCuhCrezoojYNw2cLGztZdNRsLzmW7T_PenKphVNs/s1600/Card+in+a+Box.jpg" height="317" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #333366; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; text-align: start;">©JulieAnnDesigns2014</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<div>
I found a tutorial on the web for the measurements of this design, but I guess it can be made any size as long as you get the proportions right.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I used a First Editions paper pad "Animal Antics" for the designer paper, you can't see it very well but it is quite glittered. The animals are all digital images from the ClipArt Fairy, coloured with Copic markers and decoupaged to give them dimension and personality.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtb1Epw1372OU8JPBeFVb8DX9L0fe_MFxGvWAvawkfkTeZ8HQWW7sMKgy-kZrcIMwgc_NzU-4qWxvFiHz2E_-_i-U7WsDsNomQS2v2B3PycoBvNJi3khJwKUXAI6yj_x6PxKw0NbSRtnjS/s1600/10574427_709239565809111_1553346613702013228_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtb1Epw1372OU8JPBeFVb8DX9L0fe_MFxGvWAvawkfkTeZ8HQWW7sMKgy-kZrcIMwgc_NzU-4qWxvFiHz2E_-_i-U7WsDsNomQS2v2B3PycoBvNJi3khJwKUXAI6yj_x6PxKw0NbSRtnjS/s1600/10574427_709239565809111_1553346613702013228_n.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The jungle fronds are really fir tree fronds cut with a Cheery Lynn die (I think, I did my usual trick of throwing away their packaging). I chalked the tips with blue chalk. A little sentiment and it was all done.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I made a matching box decorated with some fabric 3D stickers that have been in my stash forever but were so right for this project. So the next time you look at all your crafty stuff and think I'll never use all this, think on, amongst it all is the perfect thing for your next project!</div>
<div>

<br />
I have been very busy setting up my own business . . . yes I have finally taken the plunge and done what people have been telling me to do for a long time. <br />
<br />
Well, I was made redundant for the second time in a the space of a year and I thought I'd give being my own boss a whirl.<br />
<br />
Anyway, suffice to say that I haven't stopped or worked harder! But I'm also having great fun, designing and creating.<br />
<br />
I thought I would share a card made for a recent Facebook competition so here it is . . .<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf9efcx6Sxs7y_-e0plAiw5NOYQ2-6ZNOINt3xuaQOaPObgb6TcihUpI3UGD7id5IZIegk8zjmxp03TTexZyElE0EMHX2B87qNtYcn65QOUC217Qf1FmqDyego53Xasi86vbKloRKchN6V/s1600/10559798_709580979108303_5534131512262516619_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf9efcx6Sxs7y_-e0plAiw5NOYQ2-6ZNOINt3xuaQOaPObgb6TcihUpI3UGD7id5IZIegk8zjmxp03TTexZyElE0EMHX2B87qNtYcn65QOUC217Qf1FmqDyego53Xasi86vbKloRKchN6V/s1600/10559798_709580979108303_5534131512262516619_n.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used a few Molly Bloom stamps which were free with a magazine. I used Copic markers to colour everything. I used a Spellbinders die to cut the pink centre topper and a Martha Stewart punch for the lacy pink strip at the bottom of the card.<br />
<br />
I used a grey fineliner pen to draw the 'faux' stitching line around the card top and bottom.<br />
<br />
A Marianne die was used to cut out the pink banner shape for the greeting to sit on. A few buttons, some ribbon and some pearls completed the design.<br />
<br />
Another competition will run later this week, so if you have a spare 5 minutes, pop over to my page <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Julie-Ann-Designs/700703973329337">Julie Ann Designs</a> to have a look and enter.<br />
<br />
I can't make any promises but I'll also try to be a better blogger too.<br />
<br />
Thanks for visiting<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Today I'm showing you my attempt of a Christmas card with the little gift of candles added. I think these were known as tealight candle cards in Blogland?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made this way before last Christmas (hence my post title, I'm a little late with this!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGtOeXql8gqc8ot8houzmkAF2KWB1HvjumMOVLbmv9UGPeYbUz5OeAOjukaSjYVV1Qv_0MyT8HYgzYqWJelAuJTPIuy16fM3z6HoF7kMFxIzy1KpQvTq5oKJLRPbkGyu4vU_27-L27dqzx/s1600/DSCF1316.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGtOeXql8gqc8ot8houzmkAF2KWB1HvjumMOVLbmv9UGPeYbUz5OeAOjukaSjYVV1Qv_0MyT8HYgzYqWJelAuJTPIuy16fM3z6HoF7kMFxIzy1KpQvTq5oKJLRPbkGyu4vU_27-L27dqzx/s1600/DSCF1316.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I changed the dimensions a little from most tutorials I saw because I wanted the main body of the card to measure 6" x 6". I had to use A3 cardstock therefore to cut the template from.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will try to find the tutorial I used and will put the link <a href="http://scrappeskreppe.blogspot.co.uk/2010/04/template-tea-light-card.html">HERE</a> for anyone who is interested.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf91szdTwmK5nqEz3anYx_IVRHClHuK5_xOYlbo_8fMCQkm-fg1AxYGFxh0cfiv3NIWpuHeMXkmb33zTDWMiVj54Z0I2XXFrY1RH9GGFBHFfSs369TCpcBEDaUCNTM1seLwe6vgcLtFIK6/s1600/DSCF1319.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf91szdTwmK5nqEz3anYx_IVRHClHuK5_xOYlbo_8fMCQkm-fg1AxYGFxh0cfiv3NIWpuHeMXkmb33zTDWMiVj54Z0I2XXFrY1RH9GGFBHFfSs369TCpcBEDaUCNTM1seLwe6vgcLtFIK6/s1600/DSCF1319.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The DP is from the Christmas Kraft Notes collection ( I loved this muted blue paper), as is the decoupaged image of those sweet Forever Friends bears. I've added lots of glitter to it, not sure that my camera has picked that up.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added faux stitching with a fine liner pen.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The next layer was punched out of a complementary paper with a Martha Stewart Punch around the Page set called Cherish, one of the most useful punch sets I have ever bought.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I mounted the decoupage image on a Spellbinders Opulent Ovals die cut shape, cut in silver mirror card.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeg6IJDHyeYFv3brnRdolNaBwBhxrX5RYqnfS_k7_pX9cAmRPFkr-EfHLR7-mhAg-FSl_wuzB8ZBelc9fiXU8Fs0PNxVWe74SQGvRbg3VMPeirACkQL11sThcsmlNA1g3Ecqa6tIuYxT_5/s1600/DSCF1318.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeg6IJDHyeYFv3brnRdolNaBwBhxrX5RYqnfS_k7_pX9cAmRPFkr-EfHLR7-mhAg-FSl_wuzB8ZBelc9fiXU8Fs0PNxVWe74SQGvRbg3VMPeirACkQL11sThcsmlNA1g3Ecqa6tIuYxT_5/s1600/DSCF1318.JPG" height="301" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A closer look at the decoupaged bears, just too sweet.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The grey polka dot grosgrain ribbon was from The Range and I added some twine and a dazzler rhinestone to it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sentiment and little holly embellishment both came from the Kraft Notes collection.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I turned my attention to the inside and repeated the layout of the front minus the image.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiibpazg9j2k_ygE3544ZXxUA9FU1jmGojRkXH_vSNFXbh-rIs0brXSkJpZ6U3FOJbcyaocAnsNcK_KVv01TzDvpRdXF1UHPX5tfE3GAd_zZGSTwbv-S3zBdQCH9uwnAT70UefAhJxO6aCY/s1600/DSCF1326.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiibpazg9j2k_ygE3544ZXxUA9FU1jmGojRkXH_vSNFXbh-rIs0brXSkJpZ6U3FOJbcyaocAnsNcK_KVv01TzDvpRdXF1UHPX5tfE3GAd_zZGSTwbv-S3zBdQCH9uwnAT70UefAhJxO6aCY/s1600/DSCF1326.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And added a pocket to the other side where a little envelope could hold a gift card or pledge gift.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added more faux stitching with the fine liner pen and made the sentiment look like it has been stitched in place.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIpkDUJDHRKjsXQ5G0ePDEw1Sh1iTmodSjTttEavV9OFYxNKMDbd3SYOPxQY2E9T5CMNXd53gILPrmib7nkEHkD2kRjrKLMbVRrtjijHqL3uP0b0a0s95uFUQC7tbbYF7WmPkuQp3mWeRc/s1600/DSCF1325.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIpkDUJDHRKjsXQ5G0ePDEw1Sh1iTmodSjTttEavV9OFYxNKMDbd3SYOPxQY2E9T5CMNXd53gILPrmib7nkEHkD2kRjrKLMbVRrtjijHqL3uP0b0a0s95uFUQC7tbbYF7WmPkuQp3mWeRc/s1600/DSCF1325.JPG" height="301" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was pleased overall with how this first attempt at a candle card turned out and I will definitely be making more of these in the future.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The weather is rubbish here today and I had such plans for getting back into the garden. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well those plans have been well and truly dashed by the rain ( I am very much a fair weather gardener, lol).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There is so much to do out there as it has been very neglected for the past 7 years . . . hopefully it is not yet beyond redemption. Recently I find that life events have rekindled a love of the simplicity of being amongst plants and nature.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Anyway as an alternative, I thought I would show you a card that I made about a year ago now . . . it features a lovely Mo Manning digital image of cute ballerinas. I coloured them with a combination of Copic markers and Prismas.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin2R2vTKFxJ9ZFI-KtVBdKUgmBkcEI6COVt7Omth2HQJvhQjBxbOGvcVFINdeTczUcjpAlz_XeezET1-8EbidzLe0LaB8_MA5Eevu6h05uDMIXIMu7GM0Rh8_m7cjBbVnaRuwxd0d3U0d2/s1600/DSCF1737.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin2R2vTKFxJ9ZFI-KtVBdKUgmBkcEI6COVt7Omth2HQJvhQjBxbOGvcVFINdeTczUcjpAlz_XeezET1-8EbidzLe0LaB8_MA5Eevu6h05uDMIXIMu7GM0Rh8_m7cjBbVnaRuwxd0d3U0d2/s1600/DSCF1737.JPG" height="395" width="400" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The paper is from Craftwork Cards as far as I can remember and I cut into it by the postal mark to allow the image to be placed behind it.</div>
<div>
As the paper was so wonderful, I didn't have to do too much else to make the card complete.<br />
The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts (roses and sweetheart blossoms) and some of them have been enhanced with Stardust Stickles glitter glue. A few pearl beads were glued amongst the flowers for a touch of extra bling.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A closer look at the image coloured in, probably my favourite stage of the whole process of making a finished card. I find it so relaxing, maybe I am just a big kid!</div>

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:</div>

Ooohh, how time is flying at the moment . . . I've been very busy in the garden making it look beautiful for the better weather we have been having. <br />
Loads of lavender has gone in as it is my ultimate favourite of all plants, such a heavenly scent!! I've planted up 10 spring flowering pots too to display in various spots in the garden and they are already looking very pretty.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm back today though to show you my very first "My Besties" card. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I loved colouring this one . . .<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioM0W1HFS7Ewz4dZtk-xtszE8QbLedDOwyGvjDRlv-UMpHwYPsJLug2Ibz31dj6abZb4OEAvr9aKqSh-T3cGMKbinZegDY44yVQhAnjXnFh0Nwho9b2-HvWuU_VcCRiLrWDrcPNTJ-HlWT/s1600/DSCF1733.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioM0W1HFS7Ewz4dZtk-xtszE8QbLedDOwyGvjDRlv-UMpHwYPsJLug2Ibz31dj6abZb4OEAvr9aKqSh-T3cGMKbinZegDY44yVQhAnjXnFh0Nwho9b2-HvWuU_VcCRiLrWDrcPNTJ-HlWT/s1600/DSCF1733.JPG" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a Go Kreate die to cut the background mats. I glittered around all the edges with Stickles Stardust glitter glue. I made the paper roses from Marianne layered flower dies.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The scrolls are made using a Memory Box die.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I coloured the image with Copic markers and glittered some areas to highlight.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Yay, it's the weekend which should mean plenty of crafty time for me . . . bliss.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have one or two jobs to complete in the garden first, weather permitting naturally.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's a card completed recently using a topper from Kanban's Bella Fiore range . . . love these.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTMNKyhY5vkEysiA9pGaUenIbU0R89VV3J1GVNhJMMPCfXzoMDtPTYKKJM0ex13j9TlvHIWw-hNM9J3s72_1DGhmjhkG14s4-zVG9DwiDKptKAn_GV7aBBkHeSA1JbFZHovNe-pT4Q82oP/s1600/DSCF1714.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTMNKyhY5vkEysiA9pGaUenIbU0R89VV3J1GVNhJMMPCfXzoMDtPTYKKJM0ex13j9TlvHIWw-hNM9J3s72_1DGhmjhkG14s4-zVG9DwiDKptKAn_GV7aBBkHeSA1JbFZHovNe-pT4Q82oP/s1600/DSCF1714.JPG" height="395" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I loved using the vintage soft pink's and beige colour palette. This 8" x 8" card was fairly easy to bring together, I matted the pretty pink paper onto pearlescent white card and pearlescent gold card and added ribbon, some peel off corners and lots of glittered WOC roses . . . easy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWn7pBsiHktjtBPIcFjSj28kUQmnxNvumwjfjnWxgY1VEa9_ysNDqcsWp_sYoCZi7CQmQ_p_Orude-_T22KLpLSkidM0eUQE8ey7gZrsMJip9FdQaiBHMiM5AojNERpjFoxITM680g7sEI/s1600/DSCF1715.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWn7pBsiHktjtBPIcFjSj28kUQmnxNvumwjfjnWxgY1VEa9_ysNDqcsWp_sYoCZi7CQmQ_p_Orude-_T22KLpLSkidM0eUQE8ey7gZrsMJip9FdQaiBHMiM5AojNERpjFoxITM680g7sEI/s1600/DSCF1715.JPG" height="400" width="230" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Just a final photo which shows the dimension on the topper and layers of roses.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sparkly leaves and "berries" were up-cycled from some tired old Christmas decorations which I no longer like . . . waste not, want not, lol.<br />
<br />

I'm still here!Well, it's been nearly 6 months since I posted anything here . . . life has been a little hectic for me one way or another and crafting had to take a back seat for a while. Mr. Mojo therefore took full advantage of the opportunity and went on a long, long trip too!<br />
But . . . finger's crossed, things are looking up, the mojo is back and I may be able to find more time for creating and blogging . . . I will see how things go.<br />
<br />
I have been working on a few projects recently but they have taken a long time, completing a little at a time in stages.<br />
<br />
The first completed card I have to show you is a paper pieced project featuring a Sylvia Zet digital image. I have had her so long without using her, which is criminal, her name is Ruby and I think she is just too cute!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyT_K6VO3MY5IqQFvYx7A3oLurPtHoiCP8LC4XtU-uE_unfAl_7csa3wmAqSrogZvTLKsrut3tplwzp65v9SM6xBVMAyM68ehOb1EQrJIEK989ELU7nDSpeJhF9pK9pa9rjtXZqq8UaEZb/s1600/DSCF1671.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyT_K6VO3MY5IqQFvYx7A3oLurPtHoiCP8LC4XtU-uE_unfAl_7csa3wmAqSrogZvTLKsrut3tplwzp65v9SM6xBVMAyM68ehOb1EQrJIEK989ELU7nDSpeJhF9pK9pa9rjtXZqq8UaEZb/s1600/DSCF1671.JPG" height="400" width="367" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the topper about a third of the way finished which shows the inked background, the way the imaged is 'greyed' out underneath the pieces and some of the individual coloured paper pieces in their position.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBVjjzww-10JwekgIJWP4VCiYQLNkjtXwDlL2ukEVnhvmnaRb-2cgdPsLrgzjWpZsK8YSyfKXMrKlwomkB75Q2Nfj_1o4AIPzKTUNKtnh2ccug43hBBboev3mxhrA6bQmVbsCLNjDAMkzO/s1600/DSCF1667.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBVjjzww-10JwekgIJWP4VCiYQLNkjtXwDlL2ukEVnhvmnaRb-2cgdPsLrgzjWpZsK8YSyfKXMrKlwomkB75Q2Nfj_1o4AIPzKTUNKtnh2ccug43hBBboev3mxhrA6bQmVbsCLNjDAMkzO/s1600/DSCF1667.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's the topper again but this time also showing all the other small, coloured, cut out pieces waiting to be fitted into place using Pinflair glue to maintain their dimension.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This method of making a topper is soooo time consuming but I so love the results it gives.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's the finished card . . . </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGnpy57LQgMP3_Q2kmq1F5fbrqOFq1524RDd1GKIxbl4-EJ-hwh3UrnB7xWGXUZuzrng6nPVEdmUDjSG7BXWDaa_drIcDJtuqqbdsRpKAP-JuPlPXSmIvSyu91vYN6uzNrg_YB99EzBsN7/s1600/DSCF1703.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGnpy57LQgMP3_Q2kmq1F5fbrqOFq1524RDd1GKIxbl4-EJ-hwh3UrnB7xWGXUZuzrng6nPVEdmUDjSG7BXWDaa_drIcDJtuqqbdsRpKAP-JuPlPXSmIvSyu91vYN6uzNrg_YB99EzBsN7/s1600/DSCF1703.JPG" height="395" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's intended as a Mother's Day card for my MIL . . . I know that I'm pretty safe posting it here now 'cos I don't think she follows my blog at all (fingers crossed anyhow!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The DP's are taken from Kanban's Canterbury A4 paper pad which I was very fortunate to get before they closed their doors . . . pity, they are stunning papers so they will have to be rationed out for very special cards!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbu4iOaSpm7CC0Ij5wfQ23MbLLiBAJFe7HasYYor3RhB_izM3N3iM8vhbytW5jhTRkTtKCw86pCmyYhitJz9lKDb6g7NXUpQKO8Z0of8g5T7DhwlZoNN83hROUYzC2_QtjTRX6GaptZnrA/s1600/DSCF1708.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbu4iOaSpm7CC0Ij5wfQ23MbLLiBAJFe7HasYYor3RhB_izM3N3iM8vhbytW5jhTRkTtKCw86pCmyYhitJz9lKDb6g7NXUpQKO8Z0of8g5T7DhwlZoNN83hROUYzC2_QtjTRX6GaptZnrA/s1600/DSCF1708.JPG" height="320" width="272" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A look at the finished topper with all the little pieces in their proper place and some tiny gems and liquid pearls dotted around. I also decided to stitch around the edge, I was just going to leave it with the holes around.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I meant to take a photo from the side to show the dimension of the topper but hopefully you can get an idea from this photo if you look closely.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A photo of the pretty bow detail, the bow is threaded through two punched slots in the card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A close up of the glittered WOC roses and buds, lovely aren't they, I rarely use any other flowers. Also a look at the tab detail which is made using a Spellbinders die and the Martha Stewart punched butterflies.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I loved making this card, I just hope that my MIL likes it!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">For those of you who are familiar with the way things work, you will know that on the 5th week of a challenge, it's a photo inspiration theme and any card making style goes so even more reason to join in the fun!!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Here's the 5th week photo inspiration this time:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">And here's the card I made:</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I made a 6" x 6" tent card, the DP is from Country Companions and it's matted onto a muted yellow cardstock from American Crafts and also onto gold mirror board.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I sat her on a Spellbinders label die cut shape and matted her onto more muted yellow cardstock. I went around the edges with TH distress ink - Vintage Photo.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">How quickly did August fly by for you? Wow, it was sure a quick one for me!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Any how, September brings a new challenge for us at House of Cards, this month and for the whole month it's a colour palette inspiration for you.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's lots of fun to join in each week with a different card-making style so why not jump in and have a go?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 22px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></span>
<img alt="Grab the badge!" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCBhApbosT-MLtfDE6toYgz4WOasKvkZVE3kSJodqXh1GeNBE2OJA5fgyqaBVv-FTyjWlka0x-D9kfmXprtMv3CrNvJEop8fZDzUUf6UU8SfxDs9FLNq4Ge0g9lWiM9XlFk6g4vMIOJQI/s150/Button.jpg" /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 22px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="line-height: 22px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="line-height: 22px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Here's how House of Cards works -</span></span><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">-- there will be a monthly sketch or colour scheme given which covers all 4 weeks. Each week, we will ask entrants to enter a specific card making style. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">If there is a 5th week within a calendar month, it will be any card making style goes with a photo inspiration.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;">Here's the colour palette we would like you to work with.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 22px;"><br /></span>
</span><br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img alt="vintage hues" height="297" src="http://design-seeds.com/palettes/VintageHues515.png" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" width="320" /></span></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Use at least 3 of the colour chips in your card</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The Fun and Cute DT are the first to start you off so here's what I made to hopefully inspire you:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB9h1TqIzKQx3oNTSAhwK5fC-rpNR1IU0bHSD8s5S6ct6ifkPARD2-bIRomDcbhZw8oJPQi1X5IVKFRXg4sNivM4ZPdSvztc5h5wM4Ql4aDtnDYS5odX4nxh5IQ7NDPfQ1zc45DVgtzdJz/s1600/Month+Three+-+Cute+and+Fun.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB9h1TqIzKQx3oNTSAhwK5fC-rpNR1IU0bHSD8s5S6ct6ifkPARD2-bIRomDcbhZw8oJPQi1X5IVKFRXg4sNivM4ZPdSvztc5h5wM4Ql4aDtnDYS5odX4nxh5IQ7NDPfQ1zc45DVgtzdJz/s400/Month+Three+-+Cute+and+Fun.JPG" width="292" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used a couple of Kanban scalloped circle card blanks to create an easel card base.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used the indispensable Martha Stewart circle cutter to make the mat layers, first one in red cardstock from American Crafts and a second in Papermania "Henbury Lane" patterned paper. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I'm so glad I bought multiples of this paper pack, there's not a single sheet in it that I wouldn't use. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br />
Oops I'm a little bit late posting this, I thought I had already scheduled a post to go live whilst I was busy in my garden, but no, wrong again!</span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Any way, September brings a new challenge to <a href="http://ready-teddy-gochallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/challenge-26-summer-days.html">Ready-Teddy-Go</a> and the Team Teddy DT are kicking off with the new theme</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<div style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px; line-height: 22px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Autumn is definitely on it's way in the UK, the thermometer is beginning to fall, I've had to put the duvet back on my bed and I heard the first 'honking' of geese flying over in their 'V' formation the other day . . . a sure sign of autumn in my book.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px; line-height: 22px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px; line-height: 22px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">But in celebration of a much overdue and wonderful summer which we have enjoyed this year, w</span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">e are squeezing every last drop out of the sunshine and warmth of summer in an attempt to keep us warm for the autumn and winter to come (yikes, I don't think I'm ready for the cold!!!)</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px; line-height: 22px; text-align: center;">
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So we would like to see your summer colours, activities, and flowers on your projects, anything really goes just as long as we can spot a connection to summer somewhere on your project.</span></div>
<div>
<b><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Please don't forget that your entry MUST feature a bear or teddy too!</span></b></div>
<div>

<div style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px; line-height: 22px; text-align: center;">

<div style="background-color: white; font-size: 16px; line-height: 22px; text-align: center;">

<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Here's what I managed to make:</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK0LEioBzDvibcoRtvykad1TKnNfy5zZZWJJyowgVrAw1ZJE6KVmYtR0EKbeeNa98jnY5i4S1VCuGpdAFWh0ifzApzq-tYTzlI-cgoKOlT8BDeLhR5y4VdJpi_W4AkQx-XKewAlnr_GbbV/s1600/DSCF1273.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK0LEioBzDvibcoRtvykad1TKnNfy5zZZWJJyowgVrAw1ZJE6KVmYtR0EKbeeNa98jnY5i4S1VCuGpdAFWh0ifzApzq-tYTzlI-cgoKOlT8BDeLhR5y4VdJpi_W4AkQx-XKewAlnr_GbbV/s400/DSCF1273.JPG" width="390" /></span></a></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I made the card from A4 cream cardstock and used a Martha Stewart Punch around the Page punch set called "Flourish Lace" to punch all around two pre-sized squares and them stuck them together to make a hinge.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_SwlM7ySxqJmbc9mRUWGorv46xDiawsZSHpbgrXxqeMq8Ru39ArY4Gqxr9xiQRrFO26IoGwhw2gaA87i-cJ9GW2QZB63PQVCmIs_L95I4RHSytrIb_zzcBwFVyPcVlYKUJLdMYKNDtB2E/s1600/image.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_SwlM7ySxqJmbc9mRUWGorv46xDiawsZSHpbgrXxqeMq8Ru39ArY4Gqxr9xiQRrFO26IoGwhw2gaA87i-cJ9GW2QZB63PQVCmIs_L95I4RHSytrIb_zzcBwFVyPcVlYKUJLdMYKNDtB2E/s400/image.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The image is a stamp from Fizzy Moon and it was coloured entirely with Prismacolor pencils.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The pots were glazed with Pinflair glaze and the flowers and plants have been highlighted with Stickles Stardust.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The sentiment comes in the pack with the image.</span></div>
<div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's Wednesday again and time for a new challenge over at <a href="http://inkyimpressionschallenges.blogspot.co.uk/">Inky Impressions Challenge Blog</a>.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This week the theme is </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">"Things with Wings"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I was given a wonderful digi called "Wishing Well" to work with and boy did I have fun with my Copics colouring this one.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It was just wonderful to sit in front of the TV with my family and just colour away . . . I find it so relaxing and let's face it, there's very little worth watching on the telly these days [I must be getting old or too fussy].</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Please pop over to the blog to see what my <a href="http://inkyimpressionschallenges.blogspot.co.uk/">fellow Inkettes came up with</a> . . . you really won't be disappointed . . . they are so talented.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Here's what I created . . .</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-9ft4RduYprRmgl6SS8hT9-p53UnyJpXLvX1-5onYaE5MQgTD2Fgn9b9QiVRltLGx09fvhg8v0Em7f-wnp4nHmD07p-ObvMHdpmoXB0rLtjYoR1ZcbWpa-qsLOukTTHmyNAyKHNwDBsE-/s1600/DSCF1258.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="390" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-9ft4RduYprRmgl6SS8hT9-p53UnyJpXLvX1-5onYaE5MQgTD2Fgn9b9QiVRltLGx09fvhg8v0Em7f-wnp4nHmD07p-ObvMHdpmoXB0rLtjYoR1ZcbWpa-qsLOukTTHmyNAyKHNwDBsE-/s400/DSCF1258.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">You can see what I mean about having fun . . . I just loved colouring this little sweetie.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">My camera hasn't picked it up but this image is also heavily glittered with Stickles Star Dust - my very favourite glitter glue.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbzQI0w0Qznjb07uTyjbmnloEnyoavHR_5Nnx3QFN_0GfR5pBuKIuzBX45HD8IannkU9e4gCFLXOQvf71FUVBf1RKQiJj1SF6KU7-a5eWHBfN4ygJxh_0MPhwCs592PEFK7srhNUNeK8Cj/s1600/DSCF1257.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbzQI0w0Qznjb07uTyjbmnloEnyoavHR_5Nnx3QFN_0GfR5pBuKIuzBX45HD8IannkU9e4gCFLXOQvf71FUVBf1RKQiJj1SF6KU7-a5eWHBfN4ygJxh_0MPhwCs592PEFK7srhNUNeK8Cj/s400/DSCF1257.JPG" width="330" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The DPs are from Bo Bunny's Little Miss paper stack.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I thought that the colours best complimented the colours which I had used because once again I made things more difficult for myself by launching into colouring my image before I had chosen my papers!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used a Spellbinder's die <strong style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 12px;"><a href="http://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/products/p-656-floral-ovals.aspx">SKU: S4-356 Floral Ovals</a> </strong>to cut out a shape for my image to sit on.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I glittered the edge of the image cut out with a Quickie Glue Pen and loose glitter.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I also glittered the edge of the matting layers too.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Just to make sure I adhered to the challenge theme this week I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch to embellish the card. Again I glittered the edges.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Please join in with us this week, there's a great prize this week too</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
