RTG Challenge Reminder - "Love is in the Air"

Morning Crafters,

It's reminder time at the Ready-Teddy-Go Challenge, we've had a lot of wonderful entries so far but the message is . . . there's still plenty of time to join in if you wish.

Our theme this month is

"Love is in the Air"

So we would like to see your love inspired projects, remember it doesn't have to be a card . . . any creation based on papercraft is welcomed.

The prize this month is a fantastically generous £20 shopping voucher from Meiflower

Our DT have created some more inspirational projects for you to look at, so why not pop over onto the site.

Here's what I came up with . . .

The backing paper is from NitWit Collections - Always & Forever Collection, printed out onto 160 gsm brilliant white super smooth paper.  This was matted onto a red American Crafts textured heavy weight paper.
I used a Martha Stewart hearts edging punch to create a strip to decorate the front.  I laid a coordinating red satin ribbon over this and tied in a bow.

The image is from Pink Gem Designs - Teddy with Roses
I used the pre-coloured version and printed it out several times to create my own decoupaged image.
Once finished I glittered up some areas.
I cut out the background of the image using an oval Spellbinders die employing the "outside the box" technique for the little hearts.
This background oval was then mounted onto a Spellbinders Floral Oval die cut out in the same red heavyweight paper.  I decorated this with little 3 mm pearls.

This photo shows the depth of the decoupage layers and the inside decorated to match the front.

I hope that you will join in with the challenge this month, it's lots of fun but please do remember that it's a challenge which focuses on the use of bear or teddy images so your entry must feature this.

Thanks for visiting
